Manali-Leh-Kargil-Srinagar TourDestination : Delhi – Manali – Keylong – Sarchu – Leh – Nubra – Lamayuru – Kargil – Srinagar - Delhi Day 1: Delhi Arrive Delhi and transfer to the hotel. Later in the afternoon, proceed for the tour of witnessing the grandeur of Old & New Delhi. Old Delhi – A sightseeing tour of Old Delhi includes the Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid and Red Fort. New Delhi– A sightseeing tour of New Delhi includes a visit to the Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar. A drive along the ceremonial avenue, Rajpath past the striking India Gate, Parliament House, the President's Residence would end at the Diplomatic Enclave. Overnight stay at hotel. Day 2: Delhi - Manali After breakfast drive to Manali enroute visiting Kullu. Later transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel. Day 3: Manali Today visit the Switzerland of India-Manali. Hadimba Temple- Hadimba or Dhungiri temple in Manali is one of the most important temples in the region. Vashist Hot Water Springs and Temple- Renowned for its hot springs and temples. Rohtang Pass- The highest point, 4,112m, on the Manali-Keylong road, 51-km from Manali town. It provides a wide panoramic view of mountains rising far above clouds, which is a sight truly breath-taking. Solang Valley- it offers the view of glaciers and snow capped mountains and peaks. It has fine ski slopes. Kothi- a picturesque spot and an ideal resting resorts of poets, writers and the lovers of peaceful environs. In the evening you can walk around the Mall road. Overnight at hotel. Day 4: Manali – Keylong Early morning drive to Keylong (3,350m). From Manali the path leads to Rohtang Pass then you’ll reach to the “Gateway to Twin valleys of Lahaul and Spiti”, and later through villages. Overnight stay in camp at Keylong. Day 5: Keylong - Sarchu Drive to Sarchu (4,253m) from Keylong. Later reach to the village of Gemur, famous for an ancient Buddha Gompa and further 7 km ahead is village Jispa, where the Regional Center of the Mountaineering Institute, Manali is located. From Jispa drive towards Baralacha Pass (4,891m), which is 45 km. Enroute visit the glacial lake called Suraj Tal (4802 m). Overnight in Camp at Sarchu plains. Day 6: Sarchu - Leh Early morning drive to onwards journey to Leh passing by Nakila Pass, Lachug Langla Pass, and the highest Tanglangla Pass. Also move along the Rumtse village, Upshi village, and Karu and Thikste village. Also visit the world renowned Hemis Monastery. Overnight stay in hotel. Day 7: Leh Today visit the beautiful valley of Leh. Shey Palace- Around 12 kms south of Leh, it was the seat of power for the first king of Ladakh. Stok Palace- A royal palace with an interesting museum that contains odd collection of the king. ThikseyMonastery- The most beautiful of all the monasteries in Ladakh belongs to Gelukspa Order. Overnight at hotel. Day 8: Leh - Nubra After breakfast drive to Nubra Valley (via the world's highest motorable road at Khardongla pass at 18380 ft.). Enroute visit the Magnetic Hill. Arrive at Nubra, which is a whole new world and experience the real Ladakh. Later visit Sand Dunes and Diksit Monastery. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. Day 9: Nubra – Leh Drive back to Leh, and afternoon free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. Day 10: Leh – Lamayuru – Kargil Drive today to Lamayuru the gateway to the Zanskar valley. The place has the oldest known gompa in Ladakh, dating back to the10th century or even before. Observe the evening pray in the gompa. Later straight drive to Kargil. Overnight at hotel. Day 11: Kargil In the morning drive to Kargil. Visit the Tete Sping and other interesting places like Suru Valley. In the evening take rest. Overnight at hotel. Day 12: Kargil - Srinagar Drive to Srinagar via Drass, which is noted for its heavy snowfalls and extreme cold. Enroute visit Sonamarg and later reach Srinagar. Overnight at hotel. Day 13: Srinagar After breakfast visit the beautiful city of lakes-Srinagar. Dal Lake-This lake is one of the important tourist attraction of Srinagar. The Dal Lake comprises of a number of lakes, including the Nagin Lake some 8 km from the city center. You can enjoy the panoramic view of the mountains surrounding Srinagar from this lake. Later you take on a ride on traditional Kashmiri boats or Shikaras to explore the intricate maze of waterways of this lake. Gardens-Later in the afternoon visit the well laid out Mughal styled gardens. The Shalimar Bagh and the Nishat Bagh are beautiful gardens located to the far eastern side of the Dal Lake. You can walk around these green and attractive gardens and enjoy the waterworks within them. Temple-The temple of Shankaracharya is another important place to visit in Srinagar. Overnight at hotel. Day 14: Srinagar - Delhi Day free for leisure activities and later catch a flight to depart Delhi. |
