Garhwal Trekking TourThe Garhwal is one of the frequently visited areas in the Himalayas. It lies between the Punjab to the West and the Nepal Himalayas to the East. It has divided its treks in two parts viz. Summers (April to Oct. - trekking up to 4.628 M) and Winters (Nov. to March - trekking up to 2.500m). Garhwal Himalayas (30029 Sq. The Alaknanda river marks the great central line of lowest elevation, receiving rivers on either side. Trekking options in Garhwal Himalayas are unlimited; they are not bound by any season.  1) Valley of Flowers Trekking The Valley of Flowers is a beautiful meadow at an altitude of about 11 thousand feet. It is located on the stream Pushpavati, a tributary of Alaknanda. Frank Smythe discovered the Valley of Flowers in 1931 on his way back after a successful expedition to Mt. Kamet.  2) Nanda Devi Trek Nanda Devi is one of the fascinating peaks of India. A classic trek that retraces the pioneering steps of Shipton and Tilman through the Garhwal Himalayas. The Nanda Devi basin must surely be one of the most legendary regions in the entire Himalayas chain. The mountain itself has attracted the attention of the pioneering mountaineers, explorers, and travelers who have visited this area.  3) Kauri Tapovan TrekThe KauriPass trek also known as Curzon trail is one of the best trek in the Garhwal Himalayas. This trail moves through lush green fields, remote villages, and virgin forests. The GohnaTalLake is a special attraction on this route along with a close view of Mt.Nanda Devi and numerous other peaks. |
