After breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Aurangabad. On arrival transfer to hotel. PM. Excursion to Ellora Caves : Whereas the Ajanta caves are famous for its paintings the caves at Ellora are famous for its sculptures which is remarkable. In all there are 34 caves ; 12 Buddhist, 17 Hindu and the rest are Jain. Roughly the Buddhist caves are thought to date from 600 to 800 AD, the Hindus are around 900 AD while the Jain caves were not commenced until about 800 and were completed by 1000 AD. Caves 1 to 5 are Viharas and are simpler and less preserved. 6 to 8 are having large seated Buddha in the shrine. Hindu caves are the most dramatic and impressive of the Ellora cave temples. In size design and energy Hindu caves are in a totally different league to the Buddhist or Jain caves. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 03 : Aurangabad
After breakfast full day excursion to Ajanta caves. The Ajanta caves were before the Ellora caves and are all Buddhist. Their isolation has contributed the fine state of preservation in which some of the paintings remain to this day. Five of the caves are Chaityas or temples while the others are Viharas or monasteries. The caves date from 250 to 650 AD. The cave paintings initially suffered some deterioration. After their rediscovery some heavy-handed artists conducted a meticulous restoration and they are carefully preserved since then. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 04 : Aurangabad - Mumbai - Hyderabad
After breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Mumbai. Change planes in Mumbai for Hyderabad. Transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 05 : Hyderabad
Breakfast at hotel. AM. Excursion to Golconda Fort : the origins of the fort have been traced back to earlier Hindu periods of Deccan history when the Yadavas and later the Kakatiyas ruled this area. It remained capital for approx. 80 years when the court was moved to the new city of Hyderabad. The citadel itself is built on a granite hill 120 meters high and surrounded by battle-mented ramparts. The massive gates are studded with large pointed iron spikes. Unfortunately, many of the structures inside the citadel - the palaces, harems, arsenals, stables have suffered a great deal frompast sieges but you get a good impression how it looked like originally. One of the most remarkable features of this fort is its system of acoustics whereby the sounds of hand clapped in the Grand Portico can be heard in the Durbar Hall. The tombs of the Qutab Shahi kings lie in the outer perimeter wall of Golconda, they are fairly small but graceful structures surrounded by landscaped gardens. PM city s/seeing of Hyderabad visiting Charminar standing in the heart of the old walled city. This huge triumphal arch was built by Mohd. Quli Qutab Shah to commemorate the end of plague in Hyderabad. It is surrounded by lively bazaars. Macca Masjid is nearby considered to amongst the largest mosques in the world. Salarjung museum - this is India's answer to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. It contains 35,000 exhibits drawn from all corners of the world including sculptures, wood carvings, religious objects, miniature paintings, armours etc. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 06 : Hyderabad - GulbargaCharminar, Hyderabad Travel Packages
After breakfast proceed to Gulbarga enroute visiting Bidar. Bidar : Bidar Fort , the site of the former capital of the fifteenth century Bahamani kings, is a creation that mixes the Hindu and Muslim influences that are so much a part of this city. Bahamani Tombs - The interior paintings are beautiful. A great sense of grandeur but poorly maintained. The tomb of Ahmed Shah-al-Wali Bahamani is 107 feet high and built on a square plane, no external decoration but interior was once quite colourful. All other tombs are quite attractive. Evening arrive. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 07 : Gulbarga - Bijapur
Breakfast at hotel. AM. Visit of Gulbarga : the town was the Bahamani capital from mid 14 till mid 15th century until it was transferred to Bidar. Its old fort is in a much deteriorated state, but has a number of interesting buildings inside. The Jama Masjid inside the fort is reputed to have been built by a Moorish architect in imitation of the great mosque in Cordova. The mosque is unique in India with a huge dome covering the whole area, four smaller ones at the corners 75 still smaller all around. PM. Proceed to Bijapur. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
